WELCOME TO BOY SCOUT TROOP
|
|
Bull Run Battlefield Park
April 4-6, 2002
Our troop has been to Gettysburg and Antietam on many occassions.
This time, we decided to go to Bull Run Battlefield Park. This
was our first camping trip of the season, and we had many new scouts along.
The trip was setup with two activities; a five mile hike through the
battlefield for the new guys (they were able to start work right away on
their Trail to First requirements!), and a 10 mile hike for the older guys.
This hike was also one of the 10 mile hikes required for the Hiking
Merit Badge. It was a cold, windy day (we had to break ice in the water
jugs in the morning!), but all had a good time!
