Sea Base -- The Patch
Symbol for High Adventure
The Sea Base emblem has a proud heritage which
is shared by all who have immersed in the unique scouting experience of the
sea.
Our guide post is based upon the principles of living the Scout Oath and Law. This is represented by the fleur de lis.
Life is a journey of learning and growth experiences in which we face challenges and overcome adversity. The ship represents our journey upon the sea of life.
The ship's wheel reminds us that we are the captains of our own destiny. As the wheel guides and gives direction to the ship's course, so does living the Scout Oath and Law guide our lives.
The red of the patch symbolizes the blood of scouting brotherhood and fellowship we have had together experiencing the wonder and miracles of the sea environment.
The white of the badge represents our personal honor and singleness of purpose.
The blue of the badge reminds us of the truth of the sea.
And, the gold of our badge signifies our spirit of good cheer to others.
This is our badge of honor which we share as our symbol of our esteem for each other and the experiences that we have shared together.
Carry Scouting in your hearts and wear the emblem with pride.
